The Under 15 started brightly; controlling the game but lacking the final flourish to score a goal. The conceded a goal against the run of play in the 11th minute and went into half time a goal down.

Ten minutes into the second half Captain Amy Jack slotted the ball home to level the scores and despite creating several more changes that remained the score at full time and peppering the goal. The game swung from end to end with Lucy Stead pulling off a number of great saves.

Five minutes each way of extra time saw no futher goals so the game went to penalty shuffles ( a 1 on 1 from the 25m line with the keeper where you have 8 seconds to put the goal over the line. Amy Jack scored, Stonyhurst missed (2 – 1), Libby Porter put her attempt just wide, Stonyhurst scored (2-2), Talia Zelhof scored (3 – 2) Stonyhurst missed (3-2) Jenna Kenyon had her attempt saved (2-2), Stonyhurst scored (3 – 3), Maddy Walker had her shuffle save and the final Stinyhurst taker missed (3 – 3) and sudden death.

Player of the Match Amy Jack stepped back up and scored (4- 3), keeper Lucy Stead charged out and slowed down the Stonyhurst taker who pushed her shot within the 8 seconds but it did not cross the line within the 8 seconds and therefore did not count.

Final score 4 – 3 to Stockport.
