Stockport Grammar school U12 vs Wilmslow High school U12

The game started with Stockport dominating the game creating chance after chance but not being able to get the ball into the net. Wilmslow’s best chance of the first half came when they hit the crossbar three times in a row. We also were very fortunate when the opposition striker missed an open net.

Closing in on half time, Aeden Hodgkinson slotted the ball in the net. Almost immediately after scoring, Wilmslow reacted by scoring two goals on the stroke of half-time.

The second half was different to the first, the game became more even as Wilmslow started to create more chances.

A great ball in by one of our wingers set up an open net for the striker who was pushed by the centre-back of the opposition. Unfortunately the ref hadn’t seen the challenge and played on.

Not much happened for the rest of the game, apart from a good strike from one of their forwards from the left which sailed in the top corner of the net.

The score finished 3-1 to Wilmslow.
