Stockport Grammar School Boys-U13A vs  The King's School, Chester
On: Saturday, 25 Jan 2020
Venue: Away

A high tempo start to the game from SGS concentrating on 2 or 3 touches before moving the ball created problems for Kings and put SGS on the front foot.

Two great through balls one from Jeff Lam and one from Robert Stanton, put Rhys Watson through to score both times. 2-0.

SGS continued their fine start with a through ball to Ashley which he finished calmly to take the score to 3-0.

The next goal came from a lovely through ball from Tom Farrelly which led to a cross and goal from Santi.

Santi doubled his goal tally finishing of another great SGS move.

Alfie was rarely troubled in goal but when he was called into action, produced a great diving save to his left.

Second half players changed positions but the possession stayed with SGS.

Ashely got his second goal and Alex dribbled through the middle and scored to put his name on the score sheet.

A floated corner was met with a header from Robert Stanton taking the final score 8-0.

A strong performance from the SGS defensive line who remained calm throughout who continually recycled the ball efficiently to build further attacks.

Well done SGS.
